La Vie's Guide to Eating Out....Vol.4

Well Vie-ettes, it's been fun, it's been wild, it's given me heartburn, but here we have reached the end of La Vie's first ever Vie Guide *weeps*

This week we journey south of the river for some edible delectation, so next Thursday if your politics gland has ceased to function, you can have a lovely dinner instead!

I will be publishing the Guide to Eating Out, in it's entirety, later today - cut out and keep! Next week, a brand spanking new Vie Guide comes to town, in the form of La Vie's Guide to....oooooh now that would be telling ;)

The Table, Southwark: The Table offers award winning self service food made from fresh produce which is carefully sourced from local suppliers wherever possible. Near London Bridge so perfectly located for a riverside aperitif or an after dinner stroll! Lovely food and good service, winner!

3 Monkeys, Herne Hill: A jewel in the crown of SE London is the 3 Monkey’s Indian restaurant. Not a sign of flock wallpaper in sight, the decor is light and airy and the cooking highly regarded. Expect the best of regional Indian cuisine prepared in one of the oldest traditions of cooking, including the tandoori oven, sigri and kadai grill. There is a dramatic show kitchen with chefs on view preparing special dishes. ’Time Out’ finalist for ’Best Local Restaurant 1999’ - richly deserved

Aquasia, Chelsea Harbour: Aquasia’s setting and stunning harbour view is arguably the finest in London and pays tribute to slick, modern design with subtle Asian references. The menu, Modern European, features truly inspirational dishes, derived from fresh, natural ingredients. Bit pricey, but the views acorss the water make it worth it, especially in the summer evenings!

Barbarella, Fulham Road: Barbarella, as its name might suggest, was big in the seventies and has been going strong ever since. Italian waiters are straight out of a Carry-On film, but the food it excellent. Booking is necessary as Barbarella gets very busy, especially on Friday nights.
